Gameplay Features
- A spell Point system for magic, using a spellcasting roll with a chance for corruption. Casting can be powerful but harnessing too much magic is dangerous.
- The monetary system is based on simplified coin types (gold, silver, copper) and trading in valuable crystals for powering technology and rare metals for crafting magic weapons and armor.
- Core rules are similar to BX OSR, with an added skill proficiency system. Hit points are low, with monsters built in the classic OSR style.
- Combat system based on classic BX style group initiative, modified by the Tactics skill of the party leader. Battles are fast and deadly, with mighty attacks, targeted critical strikes, team attacks, spell amplification and other features that add a risk-reward aspect to gameplay.
- Ether tech devices and gunpowder weapons are available for a price, but the most powerful ancient technology and magic items are only found in ancient ruins and the underworld. The people of the surface world are in constant war to capture as many artifacts as possible.
- Procedural rules for generating random caves to the underworld, perfect for solo play!
- A bestiary of 92 monsters with stats, many with full color artwork.
- Treasure tables for the monsters in the bestiary, with magic items, tech artifacts, weapons, armor, scrolls, tomes and potions. The tables are streamlined and are suitable for solo play.
