Deep Wars-Abyssal Doom, is a tabletop miniatures game that takes two players from a deep sea research station to a strange dimensional space called the “ethereal void”.
Two players battle in this sequel to Sunken Citadel. One player runs the Breach Team of fortune hunters, looking to reclaim their lost base. The other plays the undead Invaders of the Void, intent on taking the base and its ancient technology back to their ethereal dimension. This tabletop miniatures game includes a narrative campaign with eight scenarios, with character and warband advancement between them, and includes co-op and solo rules. Abyssal Doom is fully compatible with other Deep Wars products, so players can also use any of the other factions from Deep Wars as the Breach Team.
This game is set in our Uncharted Realms world, an alternate version of Earth of the late 17th century where pirates and adventurers have discovered and reverse-engineered lost underwater technology.

The Sunken Citadel was an underwater research station that lost contact with the surface kingdoms after a mysterious experiment went out of control. One of the players controls a warband of mercenary divers and pirates, the Breach Team, sent in to regain command of the station. Another player plays as the Invaders, corrupted remnants of the station crew and terrifying beings of the ethereal void that have taken over the station. Wild creatures also lurk in and around the station, hunting down any members of the Breach Team or Invaders that comes into view using Artificial Intelligence (AI) routines. The Breach Team must explore the station, repairing damaged equipment, while searching for the experiment to shut it down. The Invaders try to keep their hold on the station, controlling the station and its equipment for their dark and sinister purposes.

The game uses the DeepWars rule set with additional new rules for the base and Invader deployment and is still 100% compatible with other Deepwars V3 rules. The rules are easy to learn and uses just three six-sided dice for gameplay.

Wild creatures and ethereal monsters hunt both of the warbands, adding an extra survival mechanic to gameplay. Wild creatures may be killed but more are drawn to the battle by the scent of blood.
